The Historical Presidency (Alipore Jail Museum)
On the 18th of November, 2025, the students of Class IX and X from Ruby Park Public School embarked upon a profoundly edifying excursion to the historic precincts of the Alipore Jail Museum. Upon crossing the threshold of this formidable edifice, the students were immediately enveloped by a sombre reverence, as the imposing red brick walls seemed to whisper the poignant tales of India’s arduous struggle for independence. Wandering through the hallowed corridors and solitary cells, the young minds were deeply moved by the tangible echoes of sacrifice, gaining a visceral understanding of the tribulations endured by our nation’s valiant freedom fighters and the stark reality of the price paid for liberty. Ultimately, the visit served as a transformative pilgrimage that etched a lasting respect for history upon the collective consciousness of the students.
